Terms of use
In short: MPG Books Link is a private bookkeeping tool built for MPG Properties LLC, MPG Equipment Rental LLC, MPG Concrete LLC and Trademark Custom Homes LLC (together, “the MPG companies”). It isn't sold or offered to the public. From files staff upload, it reconciles a company's bank account against that company's business records and compares the companies' records with each other to spot possible intercompany items. For a company that connects QuickBooks Online, it reads that company's QuickBooks records to check them and, once that company turns it on, records deposits there. Each company connects separately.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between Coleman Dewberry ("we"), who built and maintain MPG Books Link, and each of MPG Properties LLC, MPG Equipment Rental LLC, MPG Concrete LLC and Trademark Custom Homes LLC (together, “the MPG companies”), and the people each of them authorises to use it ("you"). By connecting MPG Books Link to a company's QuickBooks Online, or by using it, you agree to these terms.
2. What you may do
We give each MPG company a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use MPG Books Link for its own bookkeeping while these terms are in effect. You may not resell the app or let anyone the MPG companies haven't authorised use it. You may connect it only to QuickBooks companies that belong to one of the MPG companies listed in section 1.
3. What the app does in QuickBooks
- Reads: company details, the chart of accounts, the customer list, and the transactions and reports the app's checks need.
- Records: deposits into the bank account a company chooses, only in a company that has turned this on. The app marks every deposit it records as its own.
- Never: takes or sends payments, changes company settings, creates customers, or changes or deletes anything already in QuickBooks, including deposits it recorded itself.
4. Your responsibilities
MPG Books Link helps with the bookkeeping. It doesn't replace review. You remain responsible for the books, including checking what the app records, and for keeping your sign-in details private. 5. Your data
Each company's data belongs to that company. The privacy policy explains how the app handles it.
6. No warranty
We provide MPG Books Link as it is. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be free of errors or always available.
7. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or data, arising from the use of MPG Books Link. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
8. Ending these terms
Each MPG company can stop using MPG Books Link at any time by disconnecting it in that company's QuickBooks. Disconnecting one company doesn't affect the others. We may end these terms by giving the MPG companies notice. When a company disconnects, or these terms end, the app stops reading from and recording in that company's QuickBooks. Deposits it already recorded stay in QuickBooks.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the effective date above changes, and we tell the MPG companies about any material change before it applies.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
